"Two biologically active substances in the composition of Tanos®, mutually enfore and complete each other.

Famoxadone — contact component of Tanos® — firmly binds to the cuticle and remains in the wax layer of leaves. This ensures the resistance of the drug to flushing. In contact with the leaf surface, treated with Tanos®, the spores die within 7 seconds. Famoxadone provides RELIABLE SHIELDING EFFECT forming a film on the surface of the leaf and acting as a protective barrier that prevents the penetration of the pathogen inside the plant. Thanks to the ability to contact the cuticle, usually already in 2 hours famoxadone is not washed off by rain or water at irrigation. Under the influence of moisture its more uniform redistribution on the leaf surface takes place. Later famoxadone is able to move from the cuticle to the surface of the leaf. This unique ability of reactivation increases the protective effect. Thus, Tanos® virtually indispensable in rainy weather.

Cymoxanil - local systemic component of Tanos® - quickly penetrates the leaf and stem and has a preventive, protective and curative action. Cymoxanil moves in the leaves (translaminar action), as well as in the stems from the bottom up. This compensates for the uneven distribution of working solution on plants during processing. Cymoxanil affects not one but several biochemical reactions in the cells of the pathogen, which ensures reliable action of its inhibition and prevents the development of resistance. Curative effect is achieved even when treated in 1-2 days after infection due to hypersensitivity reaction (cymoxanil stops the progression of the disease, due to the encapsulation of the infected plant cells)."
