Mechanism of action
Herbicide is of a systemic action. Quickly being absorbed by the leaf surfaces and to a lesser extent by a root system of plants, it's able to move freely together with nutrients and accumulate in growing points. Iodosulfuron and amidosulfuron inhibit the acetolactate synthase enzyme involved in the synthesis of several amino acids.
Period of protective effect
Sekator® Turbo has herbicidal effect on sensitive weeds present in crops at the time of spraying and does not affect those appeared after treatment (the second wave of weeds). It is therefore important to choose the right timing of application, when appears the bulk of the eudicot weed plants. Usually one treatment provides effective protection of crops during the whole vegetation period.
