Mechanism of action

"Due to its systemic properties, the germicide penetrates into the seeds and then into the root system and spreads through the plant as it grows. At the biochemical level, clothianidin prolongs the opening of sodium channels in the nervous system of the insect. This also blocks the transmission of nerve impulses and results in the death of the insect from nervous overexcitement.

At the biochemical level, clothianidin prolongs the opening of sodium channels in the nervous system of the insect. This also blocks the transmission of nerve impulses and results in the death of the insect from nervous overexcitement.

Availability of two germicide components different in mechanisms of action enhances the effect (synergism):

  • Beta cyfluthrin (pyrethroids) is more effective if the nervous system is excited
  • Clothianidin (neonicotinoid) constantly overexcites the nervous system."

Period of protective effect

From the moment of sowing to emergence of 2nd pair of leaves.
