Mechanism of action
In the first hours after spraying of Koragen™ pest is rapidly losing its ability to feed and move with final paralysis and death in 2-4 days.
Koragen™ has a new, unique mechanism of action. Active substance — chlorantraniliprole — affects on ryanodine receptors (RyR), which regulate muscle and nerve activity of the insects by modifying the levels of calcium in the cells. In the body of the insect, the germicide activates the release of internal stores of calcium ions from the muscle, consequently the pest loses its ability to constrict the muscles. The main effect of Koragen™ occurs when it gets inside insects, as well as through the cuticle (intestinal-contact action). Redistribution of Koragen™ in the plant is due to translaminar movement of chlorantraniliprole through the epidermal cells of the stem and the conduit vessels of xylem that promotes penetration of the active substance in a new growth.
