Mechanism of action
"Tebuconazole and propiconazole are inhibitors of the biosynthesis of ergosterol in cell membranes of pathogens. The result is the destruction of the cell walls of pathogens, growth of mycelium stops, then it dies. The active substances move acropetally in the xylem (upward on the stem to the spike and from the leaf base to its tip), is rapidly absorbed by the vegetative parts of plants. Tebuconazole has a preventive and curative systemic action and highly effective against erysiphales and rust fungi.
Propiconazol has a preventive, strong curative and destroying strong systemic effect, inhibits sporulation of the pathogens, highly active against various blights. Also shows growth regulating action, which ensures better absorption by plants of carbon dioxide and, consequently, increases the activity of photosynthesis in plants."
Period of protective effect
Fungicide protects crops against infection for 4 to 5 weeks. Due to the high penetrating power Colossal® Pro is resistant to rain.
