Mechanism of action

The active substance of the germicide - 2 ethylhexyl ester 2,4-D is easily soluble in fat, which allows it to quickly penetrate through the cuticle into the plants, causing abnormally increased plasticity of cell membranes, increased protein biosynthesis and production of ethylene in plant tissues which leads to uncontrolled cell division leading to plant tissues.

Signs of herbicidal action of the germicide are apparent in the form of twisting of leaves and shoots of weeds, thickening of stems and cracking .
