Mechanism of action
"Germicide has translaminar and partial soil action. Desmedipham and phenmedipham penetrate through the leaf plate, and ethofumesate, in addition, through seedlings and roots, showing ground action.
Herbicide inhibits weeds at an early stage of their development, disrupting the photosynthesis and the metabolism of proteins, slows the growth of meristematic tissues and division of cells, reduces the formation of the wax layer."
Rate and symptoms of exposure:
Herbicidal effect is visible within 4 to 8 days after application. Firstly the lightening of the leaves is observed, gradually increasing up to the chlorosis. Then the weeds will gradually wither and dry up. Their total death occurs within 2 - 3 weeks.
