Mechanism of action

Avant® — a contact-intestinal insecticide that destroys the caterpillars of lepidopterans, getting them on in the treatment, when the caterpillars contact with treated leaf surfaces and in contact with the drug in the intestine. At the cellular level Avant® blocks the migration of sodium ions into the nerve cells of insects. After the intoxication sensitive insects immediately stop feeding and active moving, and complete destruction occurs within 24-60 hours. The action of Avant® is more distinctive when spraying of already laid eggs and in the early larvae hatching. Avant® has a long protective action - 10-14 days depending on intensity of crop colonization by pests.
